Egyptian goose
Introduced to Britain from sub-Saharan Africa in the mid-1600s as an ornamental bird, this attractive bird remained more or less in East Anglia until the 1980s. First recorded breeding in London in 1999, its numbers have risen dramatically, and now found in many large lakes, reservoirs and along canals. Adults pair for life.
