Swiss Cottage to King’s Cross

This walk follows a section of the Regent’s Canal - a man-made landscape, but teaming with wildlife. There are dragonflies and many species of breeding waterfowl in the Regent’s Canal; tawny owls, green woodpeckers, and kestrels in Regent’s Park’s, as well as over 90 species of ducks, geese and swans. Stroll past the ZSL London Zoo and spot the exotic warthogs, wild dogs and Bactrian camels. Start at Neave Brown’s acclaimed Alexandra Road Estate, pass amazing Arts and Crafts inspired houses and take in the breathtaking views of the City. Pause to explore the Camley Street Natural Park, an oasis among significant new development. At King’s Cross, look out for the Harris hawks, keeping the pigeons at bay.
