What data we collect and why
Contact form submissions
When you use a contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry. We keep this data for up to two years, then delete it.
Mailing list
If you sign up to our mailing list, we collect your email address. We use this to send you occasional updates about Footways, including new maps, events and news. Our mailing list is managed by Mailchimp (see Third parties, below). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.
Shop purchases
Our online shop is operated by Squarespace. When you make a purchase, Squarespace collects and processes your payment and delivery details. We do not store payment card data. We may temporarily handle your delivery address for the purpose of posting your order (via Royal Mail), but we do not store this on our systems beyond what is needed to fulfil your order.
Website analytics
Our website is built on Squarespace, which collects anonymised data about how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site, referral source). This may include the use of cookies. We also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymised data, which is processed by Google. We use this data only to improve the website and our content.
