Robin
One of the commonest birds in London, well adapted to life in the city, living in parks, gardens, woodlands and wasteland habitats. Fiercely territorial, the males are active singers – often throughout the night in well-lit areas – to both repel competing males and attract females.
Look out for robins on a London Nature Trail at:
Silkstream Park, Rushgrove Park and Welsh Harp (Brent) Reservoir on the walk from Burnt Oak to Wembley
Camley Street Natural Park and Primrose Hill on the walk from Swiss Cottage to King’s Cross
Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill Ecology Park on the walk from Bermondsey to Brockley
London Blossom Garden, the UP Garden and Wanstead Flats on the walk from Wanstead to Royal Docks
